Open Terminal and type sudo nano /etc/apache2/nf and press enter. Thankfully High Sierra already comes with PHP 7.1!!! This caused users to get annoyed because it didn’t come with PHP 7, so you’d have to go through extra work to upgrade from PHP 5 to PHP 7. Before High Sierra (version 10.13), Mac came with PHP 5 installed. Mac already comes with PHP, so you don’t need to install it from PHP.net. Open Safari (or your browser of choice), type localhost in the address bar, and press enterĬan’t believe it’s that easy? It is! You should now see It works! in the browser.
Type sudo apachectl start and press enter.
Open Terminal by clicking on the magnifying glass at the top right corner of your screen and searching for Terminal.
